Prawn Pasta

This is such a simple and easy meal to make. I make it for me and Mr Ormerod if I can’t be bothered cooking or if I don’t have much time. It literally takes as long as the pasta takes to cook.

This recipe serves 2 so just adjust the amount accordingly

  • 1 pack of cooked and peeled king prawns (around 160g)
  • Any type of pasta (I use penne) roughly 100g per person (I like a lot)
  • Chorizo (however much you fancy)
  • Sundried tomato (again however much you fancy)
  • 2 roasted red peppers (from the jar)
  • Chilli flakes
  • Garlic
  • 1-2 tablespoons of red pesto

  • Cook pasta as per instruction
  • While pasta is cooking chop up chorizo and fry until beginning to crisp
  • chop red peppers and add to pan with chorizo
  • Add garlic and chilli flakes
  • Add in prawns to warm up (don’t cook too long or they will go tough)
  • When the pasta is cooked, drain and add to pan with other ingredients
  • Add the red pesto and stir until all ingredients are covered.
  • Serve
