Happy New Year!

First of all I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year! Obviously it has been a little while since I have sat down to write anything. There are a few reasons for this, one being that I have been quite busy over the Christmas period. With it being Eddies first and Mr Ormerod finishing work early we wanted to spend some quality family time together. Another reason is I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to write about. I felt a little bit stuck.
I had a good think over the past few weeks about the new year. I don’t think I have ever made a new year resolution or done the “new year new me” thing. However, I have felt somewhat stuck in a rut over the past couple of years. I feel like I do the same thing day in day out and I over think things way too much. For example I will come up with the idea of a few nights away somewhere but spend that long thinking about it and researching I never end up booking it! I also keep saying I want to try new things but never do anything about it. So this year I am being one of “those people” who are doing the “new year new me” thing. I figured why not?? A new year is a fresh start and where is the best place to begin? At the start of course! So here I go!
I haven’t got a specific resolution but more of a range of things I want to achieve. Some things are simple and something’s may take a little longer, but I figured if I write a list I can tick them off as I go along and see what I have made from the year.
So here is a little list (which will probably get longer) of some of the things I WILL accomplish or make a start on this year! If anybody has any ideas to help me or anything to keep me motivated then please let me know!

1. Re decorate the living room (I have been wanting to do this for the past 2 years!)
2. Lose 2 stone (mostly baby weight)
3. Sort out my mortgage
4. Be more spontaneous (booking short breaks when I want to and not over think it)
5. Re start yoga classes
6. Do a course in meditation (I meditate very often and thought this would be fun and improve my spirituality)
7. Write more!
8. Landscape the garden
9. Start a course in Aesthetics (something I have wanted to do for a long time but never acted on it)
10. Advance in my career
So these are my goals and ambitions for now. Some may seem trivial but for me they are stepping stones to improving my quality of life and having more fun and success! I will keep you all updated with my progress and now I have put it out there I have to do it!!!

Lots of Love,

Mrs Ormerod
